Privacy Policy for Product Research Tool: Profit Calculator
1. Overview The Product Research Tool: Profit Calculator (“we,” “our,” or “the Tool”) is built as a Google Sheets Editor Add-on designed to assist users in calculating profit metrics, freight costs, and marketplace fulfillment fees inside Google Spreadsheets. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any data processed through our application.
2. Information We Access and Collect Our tool operates within your Google Sheets environment.
- Google Sheets Data: The Add-on requests access to your active Google Spreadsheet solely to read input values (such as product dimensions, weights, and product costs) and write output values (such as profit margins and calculated fees).
- No External Data Storage: We do not store, transfer, collect, or share any of your private spreadsheet data, product research details, or calculations on external servers. All processing happens directly within your Google Apps Script execution runtime.
3. How We Use OAuth Scopes The Add-on utilizes the following explicit Google OAuth permissions:
- [https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets](https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets): Required to create, modify, and calculate profitability metrics directly inside your active spreadsheet.
- [https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui](https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui): Required to display the interactive sidebar interface inside your Google Sheets workspace.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information or product research data with any third parties.
5. Data Retention and Security Since all data remains strictly within your own Google Account and Google Drive storage, data retention and security are subject to Google’s standard infrastructure security protocols. Uninstalling the Add-on immediately revokes its access to your Google Spreadsheets.
